Opal was found abandoned in a ditch with her sister Pearl, with no mother in sight. At just six to eight weeks old, she was covered in fleas and struggling with a bloated belly from worms, left to survive on her own. When she arrived at BARK Rescue, she was weak and vulnerable, carrying the weight of a start no kitten should have to endure.
Now, she is finally receiving the care she was missing. With treatment and attention, Opal is beginning to recover and experience safety for the first time. But she is still in the early stages of healing and needs continued support to grow strong.
She has a long road ahead, but she no longer has to face it alone. The longer she waits, the more she risks growing up without the stability every dog deserves. Sable did not choose this start to life, but she is still hoping for a better ending.
